Make a toast

We live too good to trip off of little shit. Let's toast to the todays.

Everyday I should remind myself that we have it too good to let miniscule things become burdens.

With all of this shooting, looting, and countries turning to ruin, I think I've become numb to the little nitpicks and bumps in the concrete along the way. Life has always been a journey, and there is no end goal. I only hope to keep accomplishing and keeping at it. My goals are always changing, so what I might have dreamed about last year is different than what I envision now. There are things that obviously I want to accomplish, the usual move up the ladder in the work world, get my own house, etc. And then there are the things I truly want to do to make myself happy. Those are the things I am uncertain about, but I will strive to find the answer to that eventually. I'll let life deal the cards, and I'll try my best to play the right hand.

On another note, I recently read an article about that my fraternity bro posted (http://themindunleashed.org/2014/08/18-ways-youre-making-life-harder.html), and it really opened my eyes with regards to the way I handled things myself. I always expect or assume the worse, because if I end up getting let down.. then I know it was coming anyway. I'm hoping to change my outlook now, and try to be more positive to outcomes.

damn

Not exactly in a sober state of mind. About 40 ounces of alcohol in. Been about a week since I've had a drink, but right now it helps me cope. Haven't touched a smoke in nearly two weeks, progress is good I guess.

Well anyway, wish I had  more good things to say. Going on with life at the moment and letting each day go by and trying to make something with it. But its hard when there's no end goal for that day. Internal issues seem that much bigger when you don't really know whats coming next.

A big realization since I've been home. The setting has been the same since I left, but the people, it's all different. I'd say I now only know less than 1% of the people I used to hang out / talk to in HS. But still glad that some of my boys are still with me to kick it like old times.

it's a new day

song playing: jay-z ft. kanye west - new day

Wow... so much has changed the past 5 years. I looked at some blogs and damn, I'm fucking different. College has changed me a lot. But one thing that has not changed is the way I write.

Anyway, today, a new leaf will turn over for me. I went to get checked up at Kaiser because I finally got my health benefits from work. An ear problem has been plaguing me for nearly a year. I'm really thankful that I have a doctor to see now because my physical health has been rolling over my mental health.

Goodbye maryjane and goodbye all the bad shit to my body. I say this a lot but it's time to focus on fitness and get that natural high.

New Gadget

Traded my Dell Mini 1010 for my sister's Mini 10v. Now I have this.

OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.7

With a little bit of trial and error, I was able to get everything running smoothly. Maybe I'll post up a guide soon.

Finals.. ahh

Struggling with finals?

Take a study break, 20 min. intervals between each subject. Eat some fruits, fuel yourself with vitamins. Power nap, but not for more than 30 minutes. Don't cram all on the last minute, you'll most likely not retain the info.

Struggling with life in general? Head on over to LifeHacker.com for tips on how to make your life easier, and more manageable.
