It is often said that it only takes one person to start an idea. History is filled with examples of one person standing up among the masses and inspiring others to follow. Well I think this letter is that rally cry. This is where the power of the internet can be used effectively. Read this letter and see how it makes you feel. Hopefully it will move you as it did me. If so then take the next step. Pass it on and let it move someone else. Post it on your blog if you have one. Send it out as a mass email. Go on MySpace and get your friends to read it there. Send it to your local paper as a letter to the editor. Let's see how many people we can move!

Many letters have been sent to the Valley News concerning the homosexual menace in Vermont. I am the mother of a gay son and I’ve taken enough from you good people. I’m tired of your foolish rhetoric about the “homosexual agenda” and your allegations that accepting homosexuality is the same thing as advocating sex with children. You are cruel and ignorant. You have been robbing me of the joys of motherhood ever since my children were tiny.

My firstborn son started suffering at the hands of the moral little thugs from your moral, upright families from the time he was in the first grade. He was physically and verbally abused from first grade straight through high school because he was perceived to be gay.

He never professed to be gay or had any association with anything gay, but he had the misfortune not to walk or have gestures like the other boys. He was called “” incessantly, starting when he was 6.

In high school, while your children were doing what kids that age should be doing, mine labored over a suicide note, drafting and redrafting it to be sure his family knew how much he loved them. My sobbing 17-year-old tore the heart out of me as he choked out that he just couldn’t bear to continue living any longer, that he didn’t want to be gay and that he couldn’t face a life without dignity.

You have the audacity to talk about protecting families and children from the homosexual menace, while you yourselves tear apart families and drive children to despair. I don’t know why my son is gay, but I do know that God didn’t put him, and millions like him, on this Earth to give you someone to abuse. God gave you brains so that you could think, and it’s about time you started doing that.

At the core of all your misguided beliefs is the belief that this could never happen to you, that there is some kind of subculture out there that people have chosen to join. The fact is that if it can happen to my family, it can happen to yours, and you won’t get to choose. Whether it is genetic or whether something occurs during a critical time of fetal development, I don’t know. I can only tell you with an absolute certainty that it is inborn.

If you want to tout your own morality, you’d best come up with something more substantive than your heterosexuality. You did nothing to earn it; it was given to you. If you disagree, I would be interested in hearing your story, because my own heterosexuality was a blessing I received with no effort whatsoever on my part. It is so woven into the very soul of me that nothing could ever change it. For those of you who reduce sexual orientation to a simple choice, a character issue, a bad habit or something that can be changed by a 10-step program, I’m puzzled. Are you saying that your own sexual orientation is nothing more than something you have chosen, that you could change it at will? If that’s not the case, then why would you suggest that someone else can?

A popular theme in your letters is that Vermont has been infiltrated by outsiders. Both sides of my family have lived in Vermont for generations. I am heart and soul a Vermonter, so I’ll thank you to stop saying that you are speaking for “true Vermonters.”

You invoke the memory of the brave people who have fought on the battlefield for this great country, saying that they didn’t give their lives so that the “homosexual agenda” could tear down the principles they died defending. My 83-year-old father fought in some of the most horrific battles of World War II, was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart.

He shakes his head in sadness at the life his grandson has had to live. He says he fought alongside homosexuals in those battles, that they did their part and bothered no one. One of his best friends in the service was gay, and he never knew it until the end, and when he did find out, it mattered not at all. That wasn’t the measure of the man.

You religious folk just can’t bear the thought that as my son emerges from the hell that was his childhood he might like to find a lifelong companion and have a measure of happiness. It offends your sensibilities that he should request the right to visit that companion in the hospital, to make medical decisions for him or to benefit from tax laws governing inheritance.

How dare he? you say. These outrageous requests would threaten the very existence of your family, would undermine the sanctity of marriage. You use religion to abdicate your responsibility to be thinking human beings. There are vast numbers of religious people who find your attitudes repugnant. God is not for the privileged majority, and God knows my son has committed no sin.

The deep-thinking author of a letter to the April 12 ‘05 Valley News who lectures about homosexual sin and tells us about “those of us who have been blessed with the benefits of a religious upbringing” asks: “What ever happened to the idea of striving . . . to be better human beings than we are?”

Indeed, sir, what ever happened to that?

LIFE! unfinished

Truthfully, or in better terms, in my opinion, one who goes on a mission to search for the meaning of life needs to do more than what he expects himself, he would need to look and interpret other peoples' thoughts as well. Matching together pieces of the puzzle can help contribute to solving for the answer. I myself try to look into other peoples views, but I don't quite get it. This is due to me being a deep thinker, whilst assuming not many people are. Anyways...
You cannot just look down on everything, being pessimistic will weigh you down from seeking the answer. You need hope and confidence. I would assume only a 'sad' person would go out an seek for the meaning of life, but that's not my only reason. The pain and suffering we have underwent through the years brought us where we are now. I could not picture anyone whom lived a perfect life, that person must be too shallow to admit any problems he has endured. Even Jesus didn't have a perfect life, there is no such thing as a perfect life, unless your definition of perfect is living in happiness after going through pain and distraught.
I went through it all for a purpose, as we all have. The mere thought of my soul ever stepping place on this earth triggers me to seek for the answer. I have not read so much about the bible, so some of my opinions could be counteracted. God must have placed me on this world so that I can experience love, grace, and happiness. You may ask, why do we all suffer, why do we all go through pain, living? These are the trials and tribulations of life, God's test. Remember, love is the strongest emotion, and you mustn't anything overcome it, but you also have to remember you need to be careful.
One will most likely not find an answer if he chooses to go one route in his life. You can control your destiny, depends on which route you take, and how you plan and handle it. We all have a destiny, if we didn't, we must be living a meaningless life. You cannot be quick to assume though. How odd is it that, out of 6 billion souls, you were created, and became part of this world? Each mind is it's own, it develops, and naturally you'd ask why were you placed there. Each soul enters the earth empty, and it's your mission to fill it up, YOU put in what you want, you make what you want out of life. Being a failure and not even trying, that is just a waste.. God wants you to keep love in your soul, yourself, this is your image, so that one day you have a place in heaven.

*The mind of Christ. What would a Christ-like mind always be thinking about? If we look in Philippians 4:8, it tells us of the things that we must always be mindful of. The verse tells us to "fix our thoughts on what is true, honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." No doubt, since Jesus IS the Word, these would be the things that He would be mindful of all the time. These are things we know Jesus knows how to do. Jesus knows how to be true. He knows how to be honorable. He knows how to be right, pure, lovely, admirable and excellent. And He knows where to give praise, honor and glory to where it is rightly due. He was always mindful of the Father and what He wanted. These are things Jesus knew how to do and what He was mindful of. Now, what about the things Jesus doesn't know how to do? If there is one thing that I could say Jesus doesn't know how to do, I would say that He doesn't know how to lose. Jesus always had a mind of victory. He walked, breathed and especially bled victory. So don't ever think in loss when you're walking with God, because when you're walking with Him the battle is already won. Remember to fix your mind on the Godly things. If we look at the definition of "fix," we can see that it means to direct your attention on something. Keep your thoughts away from sin. Keep the Spirit stronger than your flesh by prayer, reading and fellowship. Don't ponder about what you want. But ponder on the will of God and what He wants. Keep this in mind guys. Kanye West's 'Graduation'

As most of you already know, Kanye West has a new album called 'Graduation' due to release on September 11, 2007.
I have heard a few songs on this album already, and I can assure you most of them are going to be dope. A few of the tracks are already going around the net, and some were featured on his 'Can't Tell Me Nothin' mixtape as snippets and full length tracks.
These songs, notably, are called "Can't Tell Me Nothin" (also a single), "Stronger" (also a single), "Good Life" (also a single), "Bittersweet Poetry" featuring John Mayer, and "Us Placers" by CRS (Child Rebel Soldiers), is performed by a new trio of Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Pharrell, which samples "Eraser" by Thom Yorke..

You already know Kanye, coming with the dope lines, I needn't say much to explain.

My (almost) dead website.

So I made a website / forum about 2 years ago, dedicated to a counter-strike clan when it started. The website is TEAM-HP.com. I grew interest in a game called MapleStory, so it soon became a big website for MapleStory gamers. I think it came up for MapleStory in late 2005 or early 2006. Can't really recall. The site was damaged a few times though, but still went on.
Before this site, was HPgaming.net and it's predecessors (dedicated for Gunbound gamers), it lasted quite a while before I lost interest and moved on.
The site team-hp.com had been suspended sometime in January or February, earlier this year, and since then I became lazy to put work into it. However I brought it back up in April, having many old members return. This time it was just a chill site. Without focusing so much on the games. Many lost interest and there really are no frequents on the site anymore. We still get posts there though, but nothing like how it used to be-when you'd see a new post just refreshing the page. Well, those were the days. I'm currently trying to find a way to help it, but for now, I'm having the members decide (that is, if they even show up).

Rush Hour 3

This has to be the most hilarious movie of 2007 so far, to me, that is. Not remembering much from the previous Rush Hour movies, I hear people say some elements were reused in this film, or that Chris Tucker just OD's in this film, or that the storyline wasn't good.
Forget what they say, I liked this movie. It gave me a lot of laughs, not only that, the action was good as well.

The Simpsons Movie

I saw this movie the day of release date @ Harkins Theaters somewhere in Phoenix (there's a million of these around the city I swear.)
I, being a long time Simpsons fan, personally enjoyed this movie. Whilst most of my siblings didn't really like it, I got a lot of laughs out of it. Every joke thrown out of the screen had me chuckling.
Assuming most of you already watched it.. (if not, watch for *spoilers*), here are some scenes I found hilarious.. some(a lot) I may forget to include though

- Ralph: "I like men now". I swear this dood always says weird crap out of no where
