Stopping atoms

With atoms and molecules in a gas moving at thousands of kilometres per hour, physicists have long sought a way to slow them down to a few kilometres per hour to trap them.

A paper, published today in the Institute of Physics’ New Journal of Physics, demonstrates how a group of physicists from The University of Texas at Austin, US, have found a way to slow down, stop and explore a much wider range of atoms than ever before.

Inspired by the coilgun that was developed by the University’s Center for Electromechanics, the group has developed an "atomic coilgun" that slows and gradually stops atoms with a sequence of pulsed magnetic fields.

Dr. Mark Raizen and his colleagues in Texas ultimately plan on using the gun to trap atomic hydrogen, which he said has been the Rosetta Stone of physics for many years and is the simplest and most abundant atom in the periodic table.

Work on slowing and stopping atoms has been at the forefront of advancement in physics for some time. In 1997, there were three joint-winners for the Nobel Prize in Physics for their combined contribution to laser cooling - a method using laser light to cool gases and keep atoms floating or captured in "atom traps".

These important advances had limited use because they only applied to atoms with 'closed two-level transition', excluding important elements such as hydrogen, iron, nickel and cobalt. In contrast, nearly all elements and a wide range of molecules are affected by magnetic forces, or are paramagnetic, which means that this latest research has much wider applicability.

Professor Raizen said, "Of particular importance are the doors being opened for our understanding of hydrogen. Precision spectroscopy of hydrogen's isotopes, deuterium and tritium, continues to be of great interest to both atomic and nuclear physics. Further study of tritium, as the simplest radioactive element, also serves as an ideal system for the study of Beta decay. "

Having successfully designed and used an 18-coil device to slow a supersonic beam of metastable neon atoms, the team is now developing a 64-stage device to further slow and stop atoms.

12 Year Old Girl Brings Gun to/Attempts to Fire at School

Wow.

A middle school in the Cypress-Fairbanks district was placed under lockdown Friday when a student brought a loaded handgun to school and pointed the weapon at two coaches, authorities said. No one was injured.

When the 12-year-old girl first arrived Friday morning at Dean Middle School, she did not have a gun, authorities said.

The incident began about 8:30 a.m. after the girl learned she'd been suspended for three days.

"The student was very upset, using profanity, threatening to kill people ... " said Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office Assistant Chief Deputy Larry Shiflet.

The girl was later released to a guardian and taken off school property.

Three hours later, the girl returned to the school, authorities said.

She wore a baseball cap with a bandanna around her face and carried a 9 mm Smith & Wesson semiautomatic pistol. The gun was fully loaded with 14 bullets, including one round in the chamber, Shiflet said.

The girl walked down a hallway into the school gymnasium where she confronted one of the coaches and pointed the pistol at him, Shiflet said.

She then pointed the pistol at another coach who confronted her, Shiflet said. School officials immediately put the school on lockdown and contacted a deputy constable who was on the campus.

The deputy constable ordered the girl to surrender the weapon three times, before she did so, Shiflet said.

The girl was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. The case remains under investigation.

School district officials could not be reached for comment late Friday.

*"First go and be reconciled to your brother, then come and offer your gift." Reconciliation. The act of making amends with somebody you have a sort of tension with. When you're holding a grudge with somebody it hurts the Body, and we pretty much can't minister that well in a crippled body. It can even be something about somebody that might be proving to be an annoyance to you, but you haven't told them about it. Something like that can hinder us from getting at the people that God wants us to get at. Now there may be that person at work, at school, at home or anywhere that really irritates you, but we have to remember that Jesus didn't let anything stop Him from going about God's will. See, Jesus ministered to many people and He didn't let any characteristic of anybody stop Him. See, just like that one guy in the Gospel named Legion because of the legions of demons within him. Nobody wanted to go near him because he was crazy and bent on hurting anyone who would come close to him. But Jesus didn't care, He went up to Him and healed Him. No matter who they are, where they're from, how they act, every single person on this world is God's creation. So when it comes to our walk, there is no room for tension between anyone. Be a brother/sister to everyone regardless of who they are because Jesus didn't only die for those you like, He died for everyone, even for those who didn't even like Him. *The fellowship of the Holy Spirit. One thing I'll let you know, we are not alone in our walk. We are not alone in our troubles. We are not alone in life. God put so many people in our lives for a reason. It is so we can be a neighbor to each other and be there for each other all the time. It is so we can be friends with each other. Not merely aquaintances, but true friends. Let me reiterate the "Holy Spirit" part of the verse. The fellowship of the Holy Spirit means to share His presence with one another. You can kind of think of it like a God party, where He is the celebrant and we are all the guests. Even when we are just talking/driving/writing/whatever, we can bring His presence around with us to share with everyone else. It's not limited to church or anything. It can be anywhere, because God is an unlimited God. We are called to be vessels of His Spirit, bringing the Spirit and showing Him everywhere we go with our actions. So in any situation, let the Spirit of God be with you, so when we are together with other people they can feel the Spirit and in turn, spread it around. Remember this everyone. Union City teen arrested in Kennedy High stabbing

FREMONT — A 16-year-old Union City boy has been arrested in connection with a Wednesday stabbing that left a 10th-grade Kennedy High School student hospitalized, police said.

The suspect, a former Kennedy student whose name has not been released because he is a minor, has been booked into Juvenile Hall near San Leandro on suspicion of attempted murder, Detective Bill Veteran said.

Details about the incident remained scant Thursday morning, but the 16-year-old victim, whose name also has not been released, was in intensive care recovering from knife wounds, the detective said.

He was stabbed in the chest, piercing the lining of the heart and severing an artery, and also suffered a defensive wound to his left biceps, police said.

Police today are still trying to piece together what prompted the apparent gang-related stabbing that happened just before 1 p.m. Wednesday near the football field at Kennedy High School, Veteran said.

Police did not learn of the event until minutes later when the victim showed up at Washington Hospital. Doctors rushed the victim into surgery and police have not been able to interview him about the incident.

Authorities questioned several people Wednesday afternoon and combed the fields at Kennedy High School searching for clues. Police then tracked down leads and an agent of the Southern Alameda County Gang Violence Suppression Task Force arrested the suspect about 9 p.m., Veteran said.

Me, personally, I would consider myself a hip-hop head. Though hip-hop has been 'dying' out with the past few years, it still remains alive within the many hip-hop heads in our communities, and the hip-hop legends who have created a spark in the community.
My favorite groups are Hieroglyphics and A Tribe Called Quest, and my favorite artists are 2Pac, Biggie, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, etc.. There are also many notable groups, emcees, and hip-hop figures I respect as well, including but not limited to: Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Wu-Tang Clan, Living Legends, Atmosphere, Pharrell, Jay-Z, Common, Little Brother, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Pharcyde, Game, Fugees, Zion-I, Mac Dre, Isley Brothers(YES, their instrumentals are legends :hat), Rage Against The Machine, Blackalicious, Digable Planets, Digital Underground, De La Soul, Andre Nickatina, and of course much more that I have not named but deserve notice.
Why do I like hip-hop? The elements in the music are just exciting. It's that 'sweet science' she contains. A simple rhythmic verse and a dope beat would have you drifting away. From emotional to I don't give a damn type tracks, it's all good, something good to bump in your rides. (I have more to say, I'll just leave it at that for now)

Many letters have been sent to the Valley News concerning the homosexual menace in Vermont. I am the mother of a gay son and I’ve taken enough from you good people. I’m tired of your foolish rhetoric about the “homosexual agenda” and your allegations that accepting homosexuality is the same thing as advocating sex with children. You are cruel and ignorant. You have been robbing me of the joys of motherhood ever since my children were tiny.

My firstborn son started suffering at the hands of the moral little thugs from your moral, upright families from the time he was in the first grade. He was physically and verbally abused from first grade straight through high school because he was perceived to be gay.

He never professed to be gay or had any association with anything gay, but he had the misfortune not to walk or have gestures like the other boys. He was called “” incessantly, starting when he was 6.

In high school, while your children were doing what kids that age should be doing, mine labored over a suicide note, drafting and redrafting it to be sure his family knew how much he loved them. My sobbing 17-year-old tore the heart out of me as he choked out that he just couldn’t bear to continue living any longer, that he didn’t want to be gay and that he couldn’t face a life without dignity.

You have the audacity to talk about protecting families and children from the homosexual menace, while you yourselves tear apart families and drive children to despair. I don’t know why my son is gay, but I do know that God didn’t put him, and millions like him, on this Earth to give you someone to abuse. God gave you brains so that you could think, and it’s about time you started doing that.

At the core of all your misguided beliefs is the belief that this could never happen to you, that there is some kind of subculture out there that people have chosen to join. The fact is that if it can happen to my family, it can happen to yours, and you won’t get to choose. Whether it is genetic or whether something occurs during a critical time of fetal development, I don’t know. I can only tell you with an absolute certainty that it is inborn.

If you want to tout your own morality, you’d best come up with something more substantive than your heterosexuality. You did nothing to earn it; it was given to you. If you disagree, I would be interested in hearing your story, because my own heterosexuality was a blessing I received with no effort whatsoever on my part. It is so woven into the very soul of me that nothing could ever change it. For those of you who reduce sexual orientation to a simple choice, a character issue, a bad habit or something that can be changed by a 10-step program, I’m puzzled. Are you saying that your own sexual orientation is nothing more than something you have chosen, that you could change it at will? If that’s not the case, then why would you suggest that someone else can?

A popular theme in your letters is that Vermont has been infiltrated by outsiders. Both sides of my family have lived in Vermont for generations. I am heart and soul a Vermonter, so I’ll thank you to stop saying that you are speaking for “true Vermonters.”

You invoke the memory of the brave people who have fought on the battlefield for this great country, saying that they didn’t give their lives so that the “homosexual agenda” could tear down the principles they died defending. My 83-year-old father fought in some of the most horrific battles of World War II, was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart.

He shakes his head in sadness at the life his grandson has had to live. He says he fought alongside homosexuals in those battles, that they did their part and bothered no one. One of his best friends in the service was gay, and he never knew it until the end, and when he did find out, it mattered not at all. That wasn’t the measure of the man.

You religious folk just can’t bear the thought that as my son emerges from the hell that was his childhood he might like to find a lifelong companion and have a measure of happiness. It offends your sensibilities that he should request the right to visit that companion in the hospital, to make medical decisions for him or to benefit from tax laws governing inheritance.

How dare he? you say. These outrageous requests would threaten the very existence of your family, would undermine the sanctity of marriage. You use religion to abdicate your responsibility to be thinking human beings. There are vast numbers of religious people who find your attitudes repugnant. God is not for the privileged majority, and God knows my son has committed no sin.

The deep-thinking author of a letter to the April 12 ‘05 Valley News who lectures about homosexual sin and tells us about “those of us who have been blessed with the benefits of a religious upbringing” asks: “What ever happened to the idea of striving . . . to be better human beings than we are?”

Indeed, sir, what ever happened to that?

LIFE! unfinished

Truthfully, or in better terms, in my opinion, one who goes on a mission to search for the meaning of life needs to do more than what he expects himself, he would need to look and interpret other peoples' thoughts as well. Matching together pieces of the puzzle can help contribute to solving for the answer. I myself try to look into other peoples views, but I don't quite get it. This is due to me being a deep thinker, whilst assuming not many people are. Anyways...
You cannot just look down on everything, being pessimistic will weigh you down from seeking the answer. You need hope and confidence. I would assume only a 'sad' person would go out an seek for the meaning of life, but that's not my only reason. The pain and suffering we have underwent through the years brought us where we are now. I could not picture anyone whom lived a perfect life, that person must be too shallow to admit any problems he has endured. Even Jesus didn't have a perfect life, there is no such thing as a perfect life, unless your definition of perfect is living in happiness after going through pain and distraught.
I went through it all for a purpose, as we all have. The mere thought of my soul ever stepping place on this earth triggers me to seek for the answer. I have not read so much about the bible, so some of my opinions could be counteracted. God must have placed me on this world so that I can experience love, grace, and happiness. You may ask, why do we all suffer, why do we all go through pain, living? These are the trials and tribulations of life, God's test. Remember, love is the strongest emotion, and you mustn't anything overcome it, but you also have to remember you need to be careful.
One will most likely not find an answer if he chooses to go one route in his life. You can control your destiny, depends on which route you take, and how you plan and handle it. We all have a destiny, if we didn't, we must be living a meaningless life. You cannot be quick to assume though. How odd is it that, out of 6 billion souls, you were created, and became part of this world? Each mind is it's own, it develops, and naturally you'd ask why were you placed there. Each soul enters the earth empty, and it's your mission to fill it up, YOU put in what you want, you make what you want out of life. Being a failure and not even trying, that is just a waste.. God wants you to keep love in your soul, yourself, this is your image, so that one day you have a place in heaven.

*The mind of Christ. What would a Christ-like mind always be thinking about? If we look in Philippians 4:8, it tells us of the things that we must always be mindful of. The verse tells us to "fix our thoughts on what is true, honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." No doubt, since Jesus IS the Word, these would be the things that He would be mindful of all the time. These are things we know Jesus knows how to do. Jesus knows how to be true. He knows how to be honorable. He knows how to be right, pure, lovely, admirable and excellent. And He knows where to give praise, honor and glory to where it is rightly due. He was always mindful of the Father and what He wanted. These are things Jesus knew how to do and what He was mindful of. Now, what about the things Jesus doesn't know how to do? If there is one thing that I could say Jesus doesn't know how to do, I would say that He doesn't know how to lose. Jesus always had a mind of victory. He walked, breathed and especially bled victory. So don't ever think in loss when you're walking with God, because when you're walking with Him the battle is already won. Remember to fix your mind on the Godly things. If we look at the definition of "fix," we can see that it means to direct your attention on something. Keep your thoughts away from sin. Keep the Spirit stronger than your flesh by prayer, reading and fellowship. Don't ponder about what you want. But ponder on the will of God and what He wants. Keep this in mind guys. Kanye West's 'Graduation'

As most of you already know, Kanye West has a new album called 'Graduation' due to release on September 11, 2007.
I have heard a few songs on this album already, and I can assure you most of them are going to be dope. A few of the tracks are already going around the net, and some were featured on his 'Can't Tell Me Nothin' mixtape as snippets and full length tracks.
These songs, notably, are called "Can't Tell Me Nothin" (also a single), "Stronger" (also a single), "Good Life" (also a single), "Bittersweet Poetry" featuring John Mayer, and "Us Placers" by CRS (Child Rebel Soldiers), is performed by a new trio of Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Pharrell, which samples "Eraser" by Thom Yorke..

My (almost) dead website.

So I made a website / forum about 2 years ago, dedicated to a counter-strike clan when it started. The website is TEAM-HP.com. I grew interest in a game called MapleStory, so it soon became a big website for MapleStory gamers. I think it came up for MapleStory in late 2005 or early 2006. Can't really recall. The site was damaged a few times though, but still went on.
Before this site, was HPgaming.net and it's predecessors (dedicated for Gunbound gamers), it lasted quite a while before I lost interest and moved on.
The site team-hp.com had been suspended sometime in January or February, earlier this year, and since then I became lazy to put work into it. However I brought it back up in April, having many old members return. This time it was just a chill site. Without focusing so much on the games. Many lost interest and there really are no frequents on the site anymore. We still get posts there though, but nothing like how it used to be-when you'd see a new post just refreshing the page. Well, those were the days. I'm currently trying to find a way to help it, but for now, I'm having the members decide (that is, if they even show up).

This has to be the most hilarious movie of 2007 so far, to me, that is. Not remembering much from the previous Rush Hour movies, I hear people say some elements were reused in this film, or that Chris Tucker just OD's in this film, or that the storyline wasn't good.
Forget what they say, I liked this movie. It gave me a lot of laughs, not only that, the action was good as well.

The Simpsons Movie

I saw this movie the day of release date @ Harkins Theaters somewhere in Phoenix (there's a million of these around the city I swear.)
I, being a long time Simpsons fan, personally enjoyed this movie. Whilst most of my siblings didn't really like it, I got a lot of laughs out of it. Every joke thrown out of the screen had me chuckling.
Assuming most of you already watched it.. (if not, watch for *spoilers*), here are some scenes I found hilarious.. some(a lot) I may forget to include though

Note*: This is not the stuff I'd normally post but I was bored one day so I decided to make some random crap. Enjoy for PS newbies.
You can also do this if you don't want to render, but instead add a cool effect that will remove the outer stuff of the image. There's also tools like gradient covering, but I find this much easier.

"Out of things" - poetryslam

the poem that got me first place. 10 10 & 10 rating.... first nmhs poetry slam this year 9/22/06. and it was the first poetry slam I been to. my first public recital in front of a large crowd (besides classroom ones).

I rapped it in front of the audience. I ain't gonna lie I was nervous but I don't let that shit take me over. I did it in front of tha crowd anyways. My legs was shakin when I was up there, I didn't care, I felt it, but didn't really notice it, or trip about it. I still kept strong and did my thing, and finish recitin' yanamean.

I just wrote it to get things off my chest.. and anythin flowin in my head.. which is what i always do.. but i chose to recite this one..
I guess it was really heartfelt to people.
thanks and congrats to christine for getting first place also .. and my partnah kim for getting second place with her rap/poem about hiphop being dead. PROPS for that and to everyone else who read their poems.and to those who were there to watch, listen, and applause.

33 Dead in V-Tech Shooting

At least 33 people are dead and more than a dozen others wounded after a gunman opened fire at a Virginia college on Monday in what is being described as the worst campus shooting in U.S. history.

The suspected gunman took his own life at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, campus police Chief W.R. Flinchum told an afternoon news conference.

Police said they now know the identity of the gunman but are withholding his name for the time being. They said they did not know his motive or whether he was a student at the college, which has a student body of about 26,000 in a town with a total population of only 39,573.

There were two separate shootings about two hours apart at opposite ends of the campus. The first took place at about 7:15 a.m. ET at West Ambler Johnston dormitory, a co-ed residence housing more than 800 students, and the second about two hours later at an engineering building, Norris Hall.

University president Charles Steger said Norris Hall had become a "tragic" and "horrific crime scene."

"Today the university was struck with a tragedy that we consider of monumental proportions," Steger said. "The university is shocked and indeed horrified."

Steger said authorities initially believed the dorm shooting was a domestic dispute because police found a dead woman and man in one of the dorm rooms.

"We had no reason to suspect any other incident was going to occur," Steger said.

Then at 9:25 a.m., police responded to calls of a second shooting at Norris Hall where they found a gunman had killed himself in a second-floor classroom after shooting dozens of students at that location.

Two weapons, which police declined to describe, were recovered and are now with a lab at the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to determine whether the shootings are related, Flinchum said.

Fifteen wounded people remain in several area hospitals, Flinchum said.

An off-campus man who knew one of the victims is a "person of interest" to police and has been co-operating, though he is not in custody, Flinchum said.

Gunman enters college room shooting

Derek O'Dell, a student wounded in the shooting, told MSNBC from a hospital that the shooter entered a room at Norris Hall that had about a dozen or so students and started shooting.

"He didn't say anything," O'Dell said. "He just shot and then left. Some of those hit were a lot more critical than me.

He said the shooter tried to get back into the room, but the students held the door shut.

"At first I thought it was a joke," O'Dell said. "You don't really think about gunmen just coming onto campus. But it became very serious, very quickly."

As the shots rang out at Norris Hall, some students escaped through second-storey windows.

A junior student named Josh, calling from campus, told the WDBJ news station in Virginia that he was inside Norris Hall when the gunman opened fire.

"We heard some loud banging, we weren't sure if it was construction or not, then we heard some screaming," he said.

"It didn't stop for at least two or three minutes," the student said, adding "at least 30 to 40 big shots" were fired.

"We all jumped out the window," he said.

According to local television station WDBJ, high winds prevented helicopters from evacuating campus buildings.

Jamal Albarghouti, a student at the school, took video footage on his cellphone of the unfolding incident until police asked him to move because he was too close to the scene. The sounds of gunfire can be heard on the video while police can be seen holding guns outside of a building.

"It was really terrible. There were cops holding guns, shooting all over," Albarghouti said. "You can't imagine how sad everyone here is."

He said he was not yet sure whether he knows any of the victims.

"Blacksburg is a very small town, everybody almost knows everybody. It's going to be very bad and very sad in here."

Another student, Aimee Kanode, said the shooting in the dormitory occurred on the fourth floor, one floor above her room. She said her resident assistant banged on her door about 8 a.m. ET to tell students to stay in their rooms.

"They had us under lockdown," Kanode said. "They temporarily lifted the lockdown, the gunman shot again.

"We're all locked in our dorms surfing the internet trying to figure out what's going on," Kanode said.

Student and dorm resident Alex Miller — who shot a video of two police officers outside the dormitory patting down a person who was later released — told CBC News it was "frightening" when the shootings were underway just one floor below him.

He said he was a bit scared about the prospect of returning to class, adding, "You don't know if one of your classmates could be one" of the victims.

Three local hospitals rolled out their disaster preparedness teams to deal with the victims.

Some students later questioned why the gunman was able to strike a second time. They bitterly complained that there were no public-address announcements on campus after the first burst of gunfire. Many said the first word they received from the university was an e-mail more than two hours into the rampage — about the time the gunman struck again.

Steger defended the university's handling of the tragedy, saying: "We can only make decisions based on the information you had on the time. You don't have hours to reflect on it."
'This is every parents' nightmare'

Craig Nesslor, an associate dean at the school, said campus security personnel are armed and there are loudspeakers around the campus used to broadcast emergency messages — including in this case. He said the broadcast told students to seek shelter because of a shooting.

Nesslor said he hopes extra counsellors, who have already been set up on campus, will help students cope with the terrible incident.

"This is every parents' nightmare, even if your child is not directly involved," he said.

The college closed all entrances to the campus, told faculty and staff to go home and cancelled classes for Monday and Tuesday. Officials said the campus itself would open Tuesday and a convocation to grieve the dead would be held at Cassell Coliseum.

The names of the victims may be released Tuesday, Steger said at the news conference.
Second emergency closing in year

During a brief statement at the White House on Monday, U.S. President George W. Bush pledged federal support to local law enforcement and community officials.

"Schools should be places of sanctuary and safety and learning. When that safety is violated, that is felt in every American classroom," he said.

"Today our nation grieves with those who have lost a loved one."

In Canada, parliamentarians offered their condolences in the House of Commons.

"Such a senseless act leaves Canadians stunned and horrified," said Liberal MP Michael Ignatieff.

It was the second time in less than a year that the school, better known as Virginia Tech, has ordered an emergency closure of the campus because of a shooting.

In August 2006, the opening day of classes was cancelled and the campus closed when an escaped jail inmate killed a hospital guard and a sheriff's deputy involved in a massive manhunt just off the campus.

Zelda Reorchestrated

Any Zelda fans would enjoy listening to the emotion-filled and peaceful tunes of Zelda game soundtracks. Here's a site that has re-orchestrated just about every Zelda tune from the each game (excluding Zelda Four Swords, which basically contains remade music from previous games of the series..). These sounds are high-quality and are quite soothing to the ears..

My personal favorites are the Song of Time, End Credits of Ocarina of Time, Kakariko Town, etc.. I really enjoy all of them though.

Water..

Water.. water water water water. There's so many things in water. So many things you can do with water. There's just so much in it's name. What can you do? Drink it, swim in it, turn it into ice cubes, clean things with it, water fights, water balloons, water guns, wash away fire, etc. Why is water so important? Why is it so versatile?
Well, as you know it, life on earth would not exist if it weren't for water. Water consists of 2 hydrogen atoms binded with an oxygen atom. You probably already know that from your chemistry class. Anyways, let's talk about it's versatileness. Our body is comprised of 65-75% water (I think, please correct me if I'm wrong), and water makes up 3/4 of the earth. Water also exists in the sky (the clouds). With that said, not only do we have water in our body and around us, we use it. We swim in it, the oceans, swimming pools. We shower with it. It rains on us. We need it to grow! Water! It's life!
I have no idea why I wrote all of that.

Be Smart

Be smart. Being smart doesn't mean getting straight a's in school. Be smart with your life. That means making the right decisions. The right decision doesn't always mean the good decision. Doing the right thing doesn't always mean being nice. you're one person, and the other person is another. Don't be pityful to yourself. don't let yourself be used-that's just suicide to your image. You don't want to deal with discontent, learn to step up.
Be smart with people. That doesn't mean acting like a smartass or having that smirk on your face because you're pretty damn cocky. It means not being a fake-don't be a phony, nobody likes phonies. It's a real problem, they're everywhere.
